In the third quarter of 2024, the top five News and Magazines applications in Angola showed varying trends in terms of downloads and active users, as per Sensor Tower data. Here's a closer look at each app's performance:

Google News - Daily Headlines maintained a steady presence in the Angola market with weekly downloads starting at around 1.4K in early July and gradually declining to approximately 283 by the end of September. The app's weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly from 9.4K to 8.6K over the quarter.

Opera News: breaking & local experienced consistent weekly download numbers, hovering around the 800-900 range for most of the quarter. Weekly active users for this app showed a minor increase, starting from 23.7K in early July and peaking at 24.4K in early August, before ending the quarter at 23.5K.

CGTN – China Global TV Network saw a varied pattern in downloads, with a notable spike to 1K in mid-August, before tapering off to 56 by the end of September. Active users for CGTN also demonstrated a rise from 984 in early July to a peak of 2.1K in late August, eventually stabilizing at around 1.1K.

Tomorrow's Affairs experienced a sharp increase in downloads, especially in early August, reaching over 2.3K, followed by a significant drop to just 26 by the end of September. The number of active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, starting at 8.7K, peaking at 17.4K in early August, and settling at 10.2K.

Hindi News by Dainik Bhaskar maintained relatively steady weekly downloads, averaging around 400-600, with a slight dip in early September. Its weekly active users showed a gradual increase, starting from 4.5K in early July and reaching up to 5.9K by the end of the quarter.
